European Commission Initiates Anti-Dumping Proceeding on Imports from China
A coordinated investigation by the European Commission initiates anti-dumping proceedings on imports from China after finding that Chinese companies are placing their products on the EU market in the form of dumping.
Based on the conclusions of the investigation coordinated by the European Commission, the European institution has decided to impose definitive anti-dumping safeguard measures on imports of steel sheet from China, according to information recently released in the Official Announcement.
The Commission’s investigation concluded, among other things, that Chinese steel sheet companies were introducing their products into the European Union market, showing dumping margins between 120% and 127%.

According to the official information issued by the European Commission, “this unfair competition is causing significant loss to EU producers. Most injury indicators show a negative trend, particularly in terms of profitability and return on investment.”
